The PLM procedure abnormally terminates when a BY statement is in effect for the analysis that creates the item store and a DATA= input in the SCORE statement does not include all the BY variables.

PROC PLM issues an error message such as ERROR: An exception has been encountered or the SAS^® System terminates unexpectedly.

To circumvent the problem, make sure the DATA= data sets include either all of the BY variables or no BY variables
